Morning Iyengar Yoga Classes
& Mindfulness Talk
Erica Viedma is a certified Iyengar teacher who specialises in mindful movement.
Having been a professional dancer for much of her life, Erica brings a range of somatic modalities into her teaching. She has been teaching mindfulness in schools, to students and teachers, for over five years and integrates this work into all her classes. Erica guides her students to be present in every moment for a completely nourishing practice -body, mind and wairua. She will be leading a short meditation followed by a yoga class on Saturday and Sunday morning with an inspirational talk centered around mindfulness in everyday life on Sunday afternoon.
During this talk on Sunday, Erica will address the why and how of secular mindfulness practices. Mindfulness can be defined as simply paying attention with kindness. How can we bring these practices into our daily life? The talk will also include practical awareness exercises and explore the underlying principles of mindfulness: non-judgement and equanimity.
