5 reasons to read the Eco Villa Blog
Hello! How are you? Thanks for coming along.
Currently New Zealand is into week 5 of a strict Covid19 lockdown, we hope this finds you and your bubble safe and sound in these crazy times.
We have been wanting to start a blog for a long time, but things always seem to get too busy. Now, like so many other New Zealanders, we don’t have the excuse of ‘being too busy’ to blame for our lack of working on that never ending to-do list. So we are finally reaching out to you and starting our Eco Villa blog! This blog will be filled with tonnes of information, tips, thoughts and yarns about a myriad of things that we at the Eco Villa have been wanting to share and that our guests have been asking for. Things like our breakfast recipes, guides on building a worm farm, creating a permaculture garden, amazing things to do in Christchurch, lessons in resourcefulness and anything else you would like to hear about. If you have anything you would like us to talk about, maybe it's ‘how to make a living wall’ after seeing our green wall at the entrance of the Eco Villa or ‘how to make your own nut milk.’ If you have something you would like to hear about, let us know, we would love to hear from you!

This blog is a collaborative effort from the Eco Villa staff members, Nisha, Evan, Anna, Sharon and Ana. We will be sharing with you some of the things we have learnt on our journey to creating the Eco Villa and some personal thoughts from our various homes (and bubbles!)
For our first blog post we thought we would hit you with a top-five list; 5 reasons you should subscribe to the Eco Villa Blog
You might learn something new. We will be sharing our tips on living a more sustainable lifestyle, things we’ve learnt from being able to roll out reducing, recycling and composting models at the Eco Villa but also loads of ideas on what to do in Christchurch and beyond. So even if it’s just to learn about where the absolute best place for vegan gelato is in Chch - this blog is for you!
You might have a giggle. We don’t take ourselves too seriously so hopefully (especially in times of a global pandemic) we can provide you with a giggle or two, fingers crossed!
You might get some awesome insider knowledge about Christchurch. We all love living in Christchurch and love waxing lyrical to our guests about where to go and what to see, we can’t wait to share our locals perspective with you!
You might be inspired. I have been inspired by so many to get going with my own things so hopefully some of our guides here will inspire you to have a go at something that seemed daunting beforehand
You might get a new perspective. Maybe you think you knew Christchurch? Well this dynamic, ever evolving city has us on our toes and we want to share with you our perspective on the best things to make your Christchurch adventure something you’ll remember forever.
Thanks for reading our first ever blog, if you would like to hear from us hit ‘subscribe’ below. Please leave a comment and have a look through our other posts on how to make our famous coconut yoghurt and how to make sourdough from scratch. Talk to you soon! Much love, the Eco Villa Crew.
